GENERAL INFORMATION

The provision of a ledge on the loose leaf
At installation the ledge on the loose leaf should enter into a groove of the block of cylinders.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the new cranked shaft is established, remove from an old cranked shaft a rotor of the sensor of the moment of ignition and establish on the new.
2. Clear a back part of the loose leaf and a place of its installation in the block of cylinders and establish the top loose leaves on the places.
3. Check that ledges on loose leaves were combined with grooves of a cover or the block of cylinders (see fig. The provision of a ledge on the loose leaf).
4. At installation of new loose leaves remove from them protective greasing.
5. Pay attention that the central radical loose leaves have the persistent half rings executed in the form of a flange of the loose leaf (see fig. Installation of the central radical loose leaf in the block of cylinders). Keep in mind that the loose leaves established in the block of cylinders, have openings for supply of greasing while in covers only the central loose leaf has an opening for greasing.
6. After installation of radical loose leaves in the block of cylinders and a cover grease working surfaces of loose leaves with pure engine oil.
7. Fill working edges of a back sealing ring of a cranked shaft with greasing and establish it on a cranked shaft.
8. Being careful, establish a cranked shaft in the block of cylinders (see fig. Installation of a cranked shaft in the block of cylinders).
9. Grease the bottom loose leaves in covers of radical bearings with pure engine oil and check that ledges on loose leaves are in cover grooves. Establish covers of radical bearings No. 2, 3 and 4 and fix bolts, having tightened them manually as far as possible (see fig. Loose leaf greasing in a cover of the radical bearing).
10. Fill flutes in a back part of a back cover of the radical bearing with Opel No. 90485251 structure. Put on the bottom surface of a back cover of the radical bearing a thin layer of Opel No. 1404200 hermetic. Establish a cover of the back bearing and screw bolts, having tightened them manually as far as possible.
11. Establish a cover of the forward radical bearing and fix bolts, having tightened them manually as far as possible.
12. Gradually and in diagonal sequence from the center to edge tighten bolts of fastening of covers of bearings in stages.
13. After a tightening of bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings press hermetic into a groove of a back cover of a cranked shaft. Wipe surplus of hermetic.
14. Check that the cranked shaft rotates smoothly and without jammings.
15. Check axial люфт a cranked shaft.
16. Check axial люфта is made by the indicator of the hour type which arm is established on the block of cylinders of the engine, and measuring наконеч the nik leans in an end face of a cranked shaft. Moving a cranked shaft from an emphasis against the stop along an axis, measure size axial люфта (see fig. Check axial люфта a cranked shaft with use of the indicator of hour type).
17. In the absence of the indicator of hour type axial люфт a cranked shaft it is possible to measure by an edge щупа, having moved a cranked shaft to one party against the stop and having measured a gap between the radical bearing No. 2 and cranked shaft (see fig. Check axial люфта a cranked shaft with use щупа on the engine of 2,0 l of SOHC).
18. Establish on the engine all earlier removed details.
